Primary Forum, February 16th

The LWV-CC will have their forum for all the candidates with opposition in the March primary on February 16, 2006 at City Hall. We will begin at 6:00 pm. Hopefully it will be over by 9:00 pm at the latest.  I need to round up the usual suspects to help with the forum.  I will need a timekeeper, moderator, greeters to sign in the candidates and members to collect questions from the audience. If you can volunteer, please call or email me.

February Program:  Government 101

It's Primary season, and I love the smell of democracy in the morning!  Okay, that was a bit corny, but this is exciting stuff.  I can't be the only one who felt a little thrill when my new voter certificate recently came in the mail.  It was promptly signed and placed in my wallet, next to, and no less important than, my driver's license and military ID.

This month's newsletter includes an insert containing the names of the candidates for the Democratic and Republican Primaries.  The insert also includes some general Primary information and tries to answer a couple of frequently asked questions.  Be sure to visit our web site at http://www.lwv-cc.org for more information regarding local elections.
