The League's February luncheon meeting is scheduled for Thursday the 16th and three current and important topics will be addressed. Our first speaker will be Diana Barrera, Nueces County Clerk in Charge of Elections who will discuss the latest election/precinct changes. Our next speakers will be Peggy Banales, Co-Chair of Vote 18 plus Bryan Bode and Alicia Benn, Committee members; they will address the Vote 18 Registration Project in the Corpus Christi area. The Board will then solicit the membership for suggested program topics; issues for further study and action. These topics will be reviewed at the March Board Meeting and the membership will vote their selections at the leagues' Annual Meeting in May. The meeting will be held at the First Baptist Church recreation center at 3115 Ocean Drive from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Lunch is $10 and you may choose a tuna salad sandwich with chips or a crispy chicken salad; desert and beverage are included.
